Across every Coral solution, your care team collaborates behind the scenes—sharing notes, reviewing your progress, and aligning on your care plan. Whether you’re seeking fast relief, full-spectrum support, or a proactive approach to aging, you’ll never be navigating it alone.
Your Coral care team may include:
Each provider plays a different role, but they are all aligned around the same goal: helping you feel and function better. What providers make up your care team varies depending on the program you are in.
Coral is a virtual care clinic, designed to bring expert support wherever you are. Services offered are only available via video and audio appointments, and online chat, all available via the app or web platform.
Yes. Secure in‑app messaging is a core part of Coral. During your program, you can message your care team with questions, updates, or concerns between visits. Nurses and coaches use the chat to answer questions, clarify your plan, and help you adjust day‑to‑day habits. If something requires a medical appointment or a change in prescription, they will help you schedule the right visit.
Your Coral team works together inside a shared care plan. Nurses focus on understanding your overall health, reviewing lab results, and monitoring safety. Doctors and Nurse Practitioners specialize in diagnosis and prescribing the right treatments to support you. Health coaches support you in implementing the plan through nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress strategies. Your information and progress are visible to the whole team, so you do not need to repeat your story at every step.
No. Coral is designed to complement, not replace, the care provided by your primary care doctor and is not intended to take the place of appointments with your family physician. We encourage you to maintain an ongoing relationship with your primary care provider to ensure all aspects of your health are addressed. If you do not have an established relationship with a primary care provider, we recommend establishing one.
Yes. If you already have recent lab or imaging results, you can share them with your Coral team once you join. The easiest way is to upload them securely through the Coral app or portal so they are attached to your file. Your care team will review them and let you know how they fit into your assessment and treatment plan. In some cases we may still recommend additional testing if something important is missing or needs to be updated. We only review test results that are no longer than 3 months old.
We track both how you feel and how your body responds. Throughout your program, your team follows:
This allows your care team to see trends, refine your treatment plan, and make sure your care stays safe and effective as your needs evolve so you can achieve the best health outcomes.
Coral focuses on the biomarkers that most directly impact midlife and long‑term health so we can make sure we are getting to the root cause of your symptoms. Depending on your program and medical history, your care team may measure:
Your exact tests are personalized based on your symptoms, health history, medications, and where you are in your health journey.
Our treatments vary because there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. We offer holistic plans and prescribe bio-identical hormone therapy, weight loss and other medications when appropriate. Our plans include medical treatments and/or lifestyle interventions proven to help you achieve progress on your health and wellness goals. If you need medication and menopause hormone therapy (formerly HRT or Hormone Replacement Therapy), your healthcare practitioners will discuss those options with you.
Coral programs vary in costs. Most programs can be paid in monthly installments or up front. Your payment includes everything you’ll need to have a full understanding of your current health and a plan with support to get you feeling your best.

At the end of your program, you have options depending on your health status and goals. Many members choose to renew, sometimes at a lower‑intensity program that focuses on long‑term healthy aging. If you decide not to renew, you keep access to your plans and past chats. In many cases, you can also book a follow‑up prescription renewal visit with a Coral prescriber for a set fee within 6 months after your program
Coral’s approach includes comprehensive blood work to get to the root cause of symptoms. While blood tests could confirm menopause (especially when combined with age and the date of your last period), perimenopause is typically diagnosed and treated based on symptoms and health history.
Menopause care includes the prevention and treatment of symptoms which occur as women experience hormonal and metabolic changes with age. These symptoms include difficulty sleeping, weight gain, hair loss, night sweat, anxiety, emotional imbalances, and many more that can be debilitating. Caring for the symptoms can help women thrive in their prime years.
Many women start to notice perimenopause symptoms in their 40s, often, it’s later, around 45+, but it can begin a bit earlier or later. Menopause itself is defined as 12 months without a period, and the average age is around 51. Coral’s programs are designed for women in this entire midlife window, from early perimenopause through postmenopause.
Perimenopause itself can last several years. For many women, symptoms come and go and can change over time. Some symptoms improve within months of starting the right treatment, while others may need longer‑term support. At Coral, we focus on both short‑term relief and long‑term health, so your plan can evolve as your body changes.
Yes. These symptoms are very common in perimenopause and menopause. Your Coral team looks at both hormonal and non‑hormonal contributors, including stress, anxiety, depression, thyroid, blood sugar, and lifestyle habits. Treatment may include hormone therapy when appropriate, but also sleep strategies, mental health support, nutrition, movement, and coaching. The goal is to improve how you feel and function day to day, not just your lab numbers.
At Coral, we know that perimenopause, menopause, and longevity health are complex—and deeply personal. That’s why every Coral solution connects you with a full team of menopause and women’s midlife health providers who are behind you to support your goals. Your team may include doctors, nurse practitioners, nurse clinicians, health coaches, and care coordinators, depending on the care you choose.

Everyone’s symptoms and treatment plans are different, but 3-6 months is a realistic estimate. After 3 months of Coral care, more than 70% of women reported a reduction in core menopause symptoms.
Improvement can take time, especially during perimenopause when hormones naturally fluctuate. If you are not noticing changes as quickly as expected, your team will:
Coral is designed for ongoing adjustment over several months.
Yes. If you are already on hormone therapy and would like a more personalized and high-touch approach, you can join Coral as long as you meet our eligibility criteria. Your Coral team will review your current prescriptions and history, discuss your goals and concerns, and then propose a transition plan. This may involve continuing, adjusting, or sometimes simplifying your regimen, always with safety and your preferences in mind.
Yes. Many women come to Coral already on some form of hormone therapy but still not feeling their best. We review your current treatment, doses, route (for example patch, gel, pill), and how consistently you are taking it. We also look for other contributors, such as sleep, stress, thyroid, blood sugar, or nutrition. Your Coral prescriber can adjust your hormone regimen where appropriate and your broader plan so that we are treating the full picture, not just your estrogen level.
We deliver a personalized approach that combines healthy lifestyle habits, sleep quality assessment, nutrition, physical activity, and stress management, alongside possible hormone therapy or other medications, to relieve hormone-related symptoms. Your Coral team can also make recommendations for supplemental support, such as acupuncture, yoga, cognitive behavioural therapy, and other wellness modalities.
Not automatically. Whether you need to remove an IUD or stop a particular form of birth control depends on the type of device or pill you use, your symptoms, and the treatment plan we are considering. In some cases, certain contraceptives can be continued and used alongside MHT; in others, they may need to be stopped or changed to allow proper testing or safer treatment. Your Coral prescriber will review this with you and give you a clear recommendation rather than asking you to decide alone.
Common menopause hormone therapy options at Coral may include: transdermal estradiol (such as patches or gels), oral or vaginal progesterone, and local vaginal estrogen for urogenital symptoms. The exact combination depends on whether you still have a uterus, your symptom profile, and your risk factors. Your prescriber will explain why a specific form is recommended for you and how to use it safely.
No. Hormone therapy can be very effective and safe for many women, but it is not the only option. At Coral, we can also use non‑hormonal medications, targeted lifestyle changes, coaching, and support for sleep, mood, and stress. Some women choose not to take hormones or cannot take them for medical reasons, and we work with them to build a non‑hormonal plan that still aims to improve daily symptoms and long‑term health.
At Coral we believe informed decision-making in healthcare is a collaborative process between the patient and their clinician to choose the best course of action based on medical information, and the patient’s values, preferences, and personal circumstances. The evidence-based guidelines for hormone therapy are clear for women under 60 or within 10 years of menopause, where the benefits in most cases outweigh the risks. For women 60+, our approach is even more personalized, focusing on symptom intensity, quality of life, and informed decision-making.
Hormone Therapy for people with a personal or family history of cancer; a family history of breast cancer is not a contraindication, and in some cases, estrogen might even protect against cancer. For a personal history of breast cancer, it requires a careful, personalized discussion with a healthcare practitioner, and Coral is open to offering non-hormonal treatment, local estrogen, or even full hormone therapy depending on the specific case.
Depending on your situation and program, Coral may order blood tests that include sex hormones such as estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, often alongside thyroid hormones and other markers that can mimic or worsen menopause symptoms. The timing of hormone testing matters, especially in perimenopause, and your care team will guide you on when to go for bloodwork if hormone levels need to be measured. We always interpret hormone levels in the context of your symptoms and overall health, not in isolation.
Menopause hormone therapy (MHT, also called HRT) is an umbrella term for treatments that use hormones to relieve menopause symptoms. “Bioidentical” hormones are hormones that have the same molecular structure as the hormones your body produces. At Coral, we use modern, regulated menopause hormone therapy that is often bioidentical (for example estradiol and micronized progesterone) and prescribed in safe doses and forms. This is different from unregulated “custom compounded” products, which may not have the same safety data or quality controls.
Your Coral program fee covers your care team, appointments, care coordination, and treatment planning. The cost of medications, including menopause hormone therapy, is not included and is paid through your pharmacy of choice. MHT is , often covered by private insurance if you are covered. In some cases, there may also be additional fees for private lab testing or specific add‑on appointments. Our team is transparent about any extra costs before they are incurred.
Starting or continuing MHT later in life (for example after age 60–65 or more than 10 years after the last period) requires a very individualized approach. Risks and benefits can look different at this stage, especially for the heart, brain, and blood vessels. At Coral, we carefully review your cardiovascular and cancer risk, your current symptoms, and what treatments you are already using. In some cases, low‑dose or local hormone options may be considered; in others, non‑hormonal strategies are preferred. Any decision is made jointly after a detailed discussion of the evidence and your goals.
There is no single “right” length of treatment. Some women use hormone therapy or other treatments for a few years to get through the most intense symptoms; others continue longer for symptom control and quality of life, as long as the benefits continue to outweigh the risks. Your Coral team reviews this with you regularly and will never keep you on a treatment “automatically”. Any decision to continue, adjust, or taper is made together, based on your symptoms, preferences, and health profile.
In most cases, prescriptions provided during your Coral program remain valid for 6 months after your program has concluded. As you approach the end of your program, your team will discuss options with you. These may include renewing with Coral, booking a paid prescription renewal visit within a window after your program, or transferring your care to your family doctor with a summary of what has been prescribed and why. We encourage you not to wait until you are out of medication before planning next steps.
As you complete your 6‑month Coral program, your team reviews your progress and discusses next steps with you. Many women choose to renew into another program (sometimes at a different level of intensity, such as a healthy aging focus). If you do not renew, you keep access to your plans and past chats, and in many cases you can book a follow‑up prescription renewal visit for a set fee within a certain window. We can also provide a summary for your family doctor so your care can continue smoothly if you transition back to them.
Every woman is different, but in just 3 months, 80% of Coral members report significantly stronger mental wellness and 70% report a reduction in core menopause symptoms.
Your care team will be transparent about what is realistic for your situation and will adjust your plan if you are not seeing the expected benefits.
Coral’s weight‑focused care is not just a diet. It typically includes:
Details can vary slightly by program type, but the core idea is to treat weight as part of your overall midlife health, not in isolation.
Healthy Weight mitigates the risk of weight regain and lean mass loss by focusing on sustainable lifestyle changes and working to avoid or minimize the need for long-term medication. It also doesn’t require you to take any weight-loss medication to participate or to see lasting results.
Difficulty losing weight during perimenopause and after menopause is mainly related to hormonal changes. The dramatic drop in estrogen can lead to higher insulin levels, contributing to weight gain and increased fat storage. Hormone changes can also disrupt sleep, mood, energy levels, and appetite–all potential barriers to maintaining a healthy weight.
In many cases, yes. Conditions like hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, prediabetes, and type 2 diabetes are common in midlife and often interact with weight and menopause symptoms. Coral’s medical assessment looks at these conditions and how they are currently managed. In some situations, we can support you directly and coordinate with your existing providers; in others, we may advise that certain conditions be optimized with your family doctor or specialist before or alongside Coral’s program.
Yes. Coaching is a core part of Coral’s approach. In addition to your medical team, you work with a coach who is trained in areas like nutrition, movement, behavior change, and midlife health. Together, you translate your medical plan into concrete, sustainable habits—what to eat, how to move, how to sleep, and how to manage stress in real life, not just on paper.
In some cases, yes. GLP‑1 medications may be considered for members who meet specific medical criteria (for example, BMI and health conditions such as diabetes or prediabetes), and where the benefits clearly outweigh the risks. They are never used as a “quick fix” and are always part of a broader plan that includes nutrition, movement, sleep, and hormone health. Eligibility, specific brands, and availability can also depend on your province, pharmacy access, and insurance coverage.
Coral’s Healthy Weight solution focuses on a holistic, whole-body approach that includes nutrition, fitness, and sustainable lifestyle changes, and doesn’t require you to be on a GLP-1 or other medication to receive treatment. Your Coral team will determine if you are a good candidate for weight-loss medication based on your labs, health history, and lifestyle.
Before prescribing any weight‑loss medication, your Coral prescriber reviews your full medical history, current medications, family history, and key risk factors (for example heart disease, pancreas or gallbladder problems, kidney issues, or mental health conditions). We may also use blood tests and blood pressure checks to better understand your baseline health. If a medication is appropriate, we start with evidence‑based dosing, monitor side effects, and adjust as needed. If it is not a good fit for you, we focus on other medical and lifestyle tools instead.
Weight‑loss medications help your biology work differently while you are taking them, but they do not “reset” your body forever. It is common to regain some weight after stopping, especially if nothing else has changed. That is why Coral combines any medication with work on nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and hormone balance. Our goal is to build habits and a medical plan that make it easier to maintain as much of your progress as possible, even if your prescription changes in the future.
Long‑term maintenance starts on day one. Throughout your program, we focus on building habits and systems you can keep using even if your medication, hormones, or life circumstances change. This includes:
At the end of the program, we review your progress and outline a maintenance strategy, whether you continue with Coral or transition back fully to your family doctor.
General wellness programs often focus mainly on short‑term goals like weight loss or fitness challenges. Longevity care is medical and long‑term by design. At Coral, we use a deeper assessment of hormones, labs, and risk factors, then build a plan that targets things like cardiovascular risk, bone health, cognitive health, sleep, and metabolism. It is about prevention and healthy aging, not just “more” dieting or exercise.
Midlife is the critical time to look ahead and make changes that will significantly impact your well-being at 65 and beyond. At Coral we focus on prevention through sustainable lifestyle changes—including eating, exercise, and sleep habits—possible hormone therapy, and stress management to avoid chronic diseases and maintain independence.
Our Healthy Aging program is for women 21+ and older, with an emphasis on different aspects of health depending on your decade of life. It’s never too early or too late to focus on creating healthy habits that support your health and independence now and well into the future.
The best time is usually earlier than most women think. Many start during perimenopause or in their 40s and 50s, when symptoms appear and long‑term risks begin to rise. However, you do not need to wait for a crisis. If you are noticing changes in sleep, energy, weight, cycles, or mood—or if you simply want to be proactive about healthy aging—that is already a good time to start.
Yes. Midlife is a critical window for heart and metabolic health. At Coral, we look at your blood pressure, weight, waist circumference, blood sugar, cholesterol, hormones, family history, and lifestyle. Based on this, we build a plan that may include medication when appropriate, hormone care, nutrition and movement strategies, and sleep and stress support. The goal is to improve your day‑to‑day symptoms while also lowering your long‑term risk of conditions like heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
Fatigue and brain fog are common but not “just in your head”. Coral explores medical causes such as anemia, thyroid issues, sleep disorders, blood sugar swings, and menopause‑related hormone changes. Your plan may include adjusting hormones, optimizing sleep, targeted nutrition, movement, and when needed, medications. We also look at mental health and stress, since mood and anxiety can strongly affect focus and energy. Longevity care aims to protect brain health today and as you age.
Not necessarily. Some women benefit from medications or targeted supplements as part of longevity‑focused care, but they are not required for everyone. At Coral, we start by understanding your baseline risks and habits, then decide together which tools make sense for you. For some, changes in sleep, movement, nutrition, and stress—combined with hormone care when appropriate—can have a big impact. Medications and supplements are added only when the expected benefits justify them.
At Coral, we know that perimenopause, menopause, weight management and longevity health are complex—and deeply personal. That’s why every Coral solution connects you with a full team of menopause and women’s midlife health providers who are behind you to support your goals.
Healthy Aging team includes:

Across every Coral solution, your care team collaborates behind the scenes—sharing notes, reviewing your progress, and aligning on your care plan.
Coral tests key biomarkers including Complete Blood Count (CBC), Biochemistry panel, Thyroid panel, Lipid panel, Ferritin, Vitamin D, Cortisol, A1c. Fasting Glucose, Fasting Insulin, and more to identify risk factors for chronic disease like diabetes, heart disease, anemia, and osteoporosis.
The right testing schedule depends on your age, medical history, and risk factors. Many women benefit from a comprehensive assessment at the start of their Coral program, followed by targeted re‑testing every 6–12 months for key markers such as blood sugar, lipids, and certain hormones. If your situation is more complex, your care team may recommend a closer follow‑up. Beyond lab tests, we also reassess symptoms, sleep, mood, and function regularly so that your plan stays aligned with how you feel.
